Pakistani Singer Sara Wants To Sing Nepali Songs

Popular Pakistani singer Sara Raza Khan expressed her strong desire to sing Nepali songs. On the occasion of Pakistan's National Day on 23rd of March, a 9-member cultural team was in Kathmandu.

The reality show celebrity turned singer sang Gajalu Ti, Kutuma Kutu and Resham Firi and stated that she would love to follow the veteran singer and composer Gulam Ali Khan, who has sung many legendry Nepali songs.

Sara added she felt at home here in Nepal as our food, clothes and musical instruments are almost similar to that of Pakistan.

When asked what impression most Pakistani people have about the Nepali people, she answered humbleness and honesty are some things that the Pakistani people bring together to make the image about the Nepali people.

Sara thinks we need to increase our cultural exchange activities to boost our people to people relation. Recently Pakistani Prime Minister visited Nepal which she believes has proved the closeness of political relations.

Tipper Hits Taxi Killing One

A taxi met an accident in Basundhara, Kathmandu on Thursday morning which killed one and injured another critically. 16-year-old Ajit Shrestha lost his life and 27-year-old taxi driver Binod Magar is critically injured. The accident took place at 6:15 am when a tipper (Ba 2 Kha 3402) crashed with the taxi (Ba 1 Ja 3975) critically injuring the passenger Ajit Shrestha. During the course of his treatment Ajit Shrestha breathed his last today at 7:45 am in Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital whereas the taxi driver Binod Magar is undergoing treatment at Basundhara based Chirayu Hospital. Nepali Congress Leader Khum Bahadur Khadka Passed Away in India

Nepali Congress Leader Khum Bahdaur Khadka passed away at the Appolo Hospital in New Delhi while undergoing treatment on Friday. Khadka died of multiple organ failure around 5:15 pm today. He was admitted at the hospital a month ago. Khadka was undergoing treatment at Appolo Hospital in New Delhi for complications related to kidney, chest and nervous system.
