The Saudi Arabia citizenship holder humanoid robot Sofia is all set to visit Nepal this Wednesday. Sophia will be in Nepal to attend a program organized by United Nations Development Program.
It is said that the program will be focused on the importance of science and technology on the development of a nation. Sophia was developed by Hong Kong based company Hanson Robotics. Sophia was named the United Nations Development Programme's first ever Innovation Champion, and the first non-human to be given any United Nations title.
Sophia can see with the help of cameras within her eyes combined with computer algorithms. She is able to process speech and hsbe conversations using Alphabet's Google Chrome voice recognition technology. She was later upgraded with functional legs and ability to walk around January 2018.
