2 Dead After Fuel Tanker Plunged In Udayapur

On Tuesday night, two people died on the spot after a fuel tanker (Na 6 Kha 3231) plunged in Udayapur leaving 3 injured in Katri Municipality-11, of Udayapur district.

Driver Purna Prasad Khanal (23) of Amalekhganj Municipality-4 in Bara district and passenger Saroj Moktan (31) of Namtar in Makawanpur district died on the spot whereas Subas Tamang (24) of Bhaktapur, Abhishek Shrestha (17) of Nijgadh in Bara and Sujan Gole (25) of Charikot in Dolakha were critically injured and are rushed to a health facility in Kathmandu.

The fuel tanker en route from Katari to Ghurmi lost its control and plunged 1,000 meters below the road somewhere around 2:00 AM yesterday killing two and injuring three.

According to police, further investigation into the case is underway.
