डीआइजी रमेश खरेलले राजीनामा दिएपछी

काठमाडौं :

प्रहरी नायब महानिरीक्षक (डीआइजी) रमेश खरेलले राजीनामा दिएका छन्। प्रहरी महानिरीक्षक (आइजीपी) मा दावेदार मध्येका एक खरेल  सरकारले डीआइजी सर्वेन्द्र खनाललाई आइजीपी बढुवा गरेपछि असन्तुष्ट थिए।

असन्तुष्टिका बीच उनले बुधबार गृहमन्त्रालयमा राजीनामा बुझाएका हुन्। 'मैले अलग्गिने निर्णय गरेँ', उनले अन्नपूर्णसँग भने, 'अब प्रक्रियामा जाला।'

उनले फेसबुकमा लेखेका छन्-

नवनियुक्त प्रहरी महानिरीक्षक ज्यूलाई हार्दिक बधाई तथा सफल कार्यकालको लागि शुभकामना व्यक्त गर्दै २९ बर्षको सेवा अवधीबाट अलगिने निर्णय गर्दछु साथै नेपाल प्रहरी संगठन तथा सम्पूर्ण प्रहरी परिवार र नेपाली दाजुभाई तथा दिदिबहिनी प्रति आभार व्यक्त गर्न चाहन्छु । जयनेपाल !

मंगलबार साँझ बसेको मन्त्रिपरिषद् बैठकले नेपाल प्रहरीको महानिरीक्षक (आईजीपी) मा सर्वेन्द्र खनाललाई बढुवा गरेको थियो। नेपाल प्रहरीमा दुई प्रतिस्पर्धी डीआइजीद्वय रमेश खरेल र पुष्कर कार्कीलाई पछि पार्दै खनाल प्रहरी महानिरीक्षकमा बढुवा भएका हुन्।

ट्राफिक प्रहरी महाशाखाका प्रमुख खनाल कार्यसम्पादन मूल्यांकन (कासमू) मा एक नम्बरमा थिए।

Tipper Hits Taxi Killing One

A taxi met an accident in Basundhara, Kathmandu on Thursday morning which killed one and injured another critically. 16-year-old Ajit Shrestha lost his life and 27-year-old taxi driver Binod Magar is critically injured. The accident took place at 6:15 am when a tipper (Ba 2 Kha 3402) crashed with the taxi (Ba 1 Ja 3975) critically injuring the passenger Ajit Shrestha. During the course of his treatment Ajit Shrestha breathed his last today at 7:45 am in Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital whereas the taxi driver Binod Magar is undergoing treatment at Basundhara based Chirayu Hospital.
